• Providing books to them and their families.
• Tutoring one-on-one in reading and reading comprehension.
• Tutoring one-on-one in preparation for the May third grade FAST.

	Mission: With the assistance of legal and other professionals in our community, we strive to help struggling readers improve their skills to pass the FAST and build a foundation for success.

For 11 weeks, late January through April, tutors each meet with their 3rd grade student, on a weekly basis, to work on and improve reading skills in preparation for the FAST language arts / reading exam in May which largely determines whether students are promoted to 4th grade.
